Napoleon’s Retreat

Three-Story Home

Napoleon’s Retreat is a three-story home painted a sunny, eye-catching yellow. Since the inn is in a national historic district, signs are not allowed. There’s a “Napoleon’s Retreat” plaque next to our front door. Parking is on-street and not metered. Cord blood banking

There are 8 restaurants within 2 blocks of the inn, including 1111 Mississippi and Bailey’s Chocolate Bar. Lafayette Square has the largest collection of Victorian-era homes in the nation. Located in the center of the neighborhood is picturesque Lafayette Park, perfect for a morning jog or an evening stroll.  Visit the website.

St. Louis will be at your front door during your stay. We’re 1 mile away from the Arch, convention center, Busch Stadium, Botanical Gardens, and Anheuser-Busch Budweiser plant. Just 3 miles west is Forest Park, where the Zoo, Art Museum, History Museum and Muny are located.
